Bob Ledden Ministries Update

December 2010

From December 1st - 7th, Pastor Salazar and a MPWO Missionary Team headed out to Guatemala to take Christmas to "Club Jesus" located in Guatemala City.  Here is an update News Letter on behalf of Bob Ledden with Bob Ledden Ministries.

A very special Christmas!  Master's Plan blesses BLM

IMG_1855This ministry received such a wonderful gift this year to have a team come from Houston, Texas to bless and minister to the children and adults in the ministry here in Guatemala.  And what a wonderful blessing it has been!

Pastor Salazar and members from his church in Houston, Texas came to Guatemala to bless this ministry and the children of Fountain of Love Church.  They stayed for a week, ministering at all three churches; to the children and teaching the Word at Praise Tabernacle and at the new home church in the mountains.IMG_1712

This group was made up of some very wonderful, anointed people who gave of their talens and abilities.  One very blessed couple who are so tremendously anointed to minister to children gave the message of Christ to the kids at the church.  Lalo and Cindy have been children's church directors for some 17 years.

They danced.  They sang.  They played. They all had a wonderful time, receiving the Word of God at their level.  The group from Houston bought and distributed clothing, food and gifts for all the children.  They screamed with delight to see the dolls and cars, new jeans and shirts.

IMG_1678The final day of ministry came.  The children literally ran through the doors to get the best seats in front.  Some 120 or more children and adults packed into the building, ready to receive the message.  Many gave their hearts to the Lord this week.  None will be the same for the message and the love that they received from this mission team.

On a personal note, it was so refreshing to have this group come, an encouragement for me.  i thank Pastor Salazar and his team for coming to minister to the children.  I thank God for all that you accomplished.  It gives me and added strength to continue with the work that God has for me to do.

DONTATIONS  FOR A NEW ROOF!

GOD IS SO GOOD!  "But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)  As some of you already know, this rain season has been very tough: mudslides, flooding, etc.  Both Fountain of Love Church and Praise Tabernacle have been afflicted as well.  Much-needed repairs are being supernaturally provided for both places...at the same time!!!

One Guatemala businessman, a member of the moutain church that meets in their home has graciously provided for the necessary repairs at the CIMG2600children's church: Fountain of Love Church with Jesus Club for the children.  All this tropical season, the wind and rain have been entering the church building through the roof, flooding the rooms upstairs.  The water was flowing down the stairs, into the lower floors, creating a mess.

All materials to totally replace the roof (see the photo to the right) have been provided, including the carpenters to install it!  The work is beginning this week!  All the praise be to God!!!

At the time of this writing, the missions team from Master's Plan Church in Houston, Texas is here with me!  Right at this moment!  I'm taking an early-morning moment to IMG_1676write this newsletter so I can get it out to you.  This whole week is jam packed with ministering, construction, painting, praying, visiting and learning a whole new culture.  This group has been helping this ministry so much, giving Vacation Bible School classes at the children's church (Fountain of Love) and a Christian School, Pastor Salazar has been preaching at Praise Tabernacle, the ministered to the folks at the new moutain church and to the teachers at the Christian School that I love to minister to in the village of Chinautla.  They brought clothes, toys, gifts and food for this kids at the Jesus Club.

SDC14678They painted walls and a wonderful mural (a 5' x 8' painting of Noah's Ark), fixed plumbing, moved contrustion materials, sealed holes and treated walls.  They have been such a huge blessing to this ministry.  It has been an encouragement to have someone come to help and encourage me and this ministry.  Thank you, Master's Plan Church.  Thank you, Pastor Salazar and the rest of the team.  These children will never be the same for all the good things you've done for them, and for the love you've shown them (the photos help to tell the story).

Would you or your church like to do a missions trip to Guatemala?  God will change your life forever.  You'll never be the same once you get away from the "normal life" and extend yourself, doing His business.
